FAQs

I have never surfed in my life. Is this trip for me?

Yes, Morocco has some of the best waves in the world for all levels of surfing. You’ll learn to read the ocean, paddle, and pop up on a board to surf green waves. You’ll be coached by our professional team instructed in Australia.

Do I have to train before going to the surf experience?

We recommend aerobic exercise such as swimming or running. When you book your place, we provide you with a practical “Surf Training Program” designed by the Blueroad team as a free gift.

Should I bring my own surfboard and wetsuit?

If you are a beginner you don't need to bring a surfboard or wetsuit, we provide you with a surfboard according to your level, weight, and height and a wetsuit according to water temperature. In the case of Morocco, a 3/2mm wetsuit is ideal. If you are an intermediate surfer and you usually surf with your own board and feel comfortable with it, we recommend you bring it with you (same with the wetsuit). If we see that the board doesn't work for you, we will give you another one.

Do you have a schedule for the trip?

Yes, we do, this is our schedule. However, we know that it is a vacation and everyone is free to do what they want. If you are tired and want to miss a surf session it is obviously not mandatory.

How do I make a reservation?

Paying 20% of the total trip through our website or the link we send you. You have 48 hours of free cancellation.

What airport should I fly into?

You have to fly to Agadir Al Massia airport, a 1-hour drive from our accommodation in Taghazout.

Are there any entry restrictions due to covid-19?

Following the decision of the Moroccan authorities, the health restrictions ( PCR or Vaccinal Pass) at the entrance to Moroccan territory are lifted. Only the health form must be presented duly completed. It is downloaded online before boarding or It is also distributed at the airport.

Do I need a visa to enter Morocco?

How does airport transportation work?

To benefit from the free shuttles included in our packages, you should arrive at Agadir airport on the date planned in our camps. There will be two schedules, one shuttle leaving at 4:00 pm and the other at 10:00 pm, both from Agadir airport.

The return shuttle will be on the departure day after check out at 10:30.

What happens if I arrive after hours or the next day?

We can arrange for a shuttle to take you from the airport to the hotel (additional fees).

What clothes should I bring to Morocco?

The temperature is around 20 degrees during the day and may drop to 13/14 degrees at night. Raining is quite low during February, but a good amount of rain can fall when it does. We recommend bringing some hoodies, a rain jacket, and long pants.

What is the ideal currency?

The official currency of Morocco is the dirham. The nearest exchange offices and ATM are in Aourir, a 12-minute drive from our accommodation. The shuttle will stop at an exchange office and ATM to enable you to change euros to dirhams or withdraw money.

We recommend bringing €200 and a debit/credit card.

Where is the accommodation located?

We go to Mouja Surfcamp, a beautiful and modern Moroccan-style lodge, 4 4-minute walk from the sea.

How do the shared rooms work?

The rooms are for 2 people with private bathrooms. Ask for the option of a private room if you want it (additional fee and subject to availability).
